What’s the definition of Anteprima? Eat, socialise, drink and dance. Where else can you eat homemade Italian appetisers and drink beautifully mixed Martinis to a soundtrack of live music early evening, before taking to the dancefloor as DJs play warm and sexy house music deep into the night? London has just become home to one of the cleverest, funkiest and ultimately grown-up nights around.
The brainchild of three Italian promoters Marco, Christiano and Daniele, Anteprima opened its doors in October 2006 and moved through several locations, before finding its spiritual home at AKA. It has kept to its roots and followed its tried and tested formula of delivering high quality New York soulful house and disco, served up by resident DJs Mr T, Alex and Luca Elle, with regular live bands or singers early on.
Anteprima is based on the concept of ‘aperitif’, but has given the classic Italian pastime a twist and turned it into a whole evening’s entertainment. Sip on classic Italian cocktails, nibble on tantalizing home cooked dishes such as gnocchi, olive pate crostini, Torta di Verdure, rustic pizza and bruschetta, then get lost on the dancefloor to some real house music. This is a party for people who want something a little different on their Sunday nights. A party that marries decency with decadence, mayhem with (a little) maturity, and manages to be both hedonistic and civilized at the same time. This is not an after party, this IS the party.
